Roof Cleaning Prevents Homeowners Insurance Cancellation in Bremen, Georgia!

This was a neat project located in Bremen, Georgia. Without us even knowing at the time, these homeowners were fixing to go through what some would call a “nightmare” with their homeowners insurance company. Not only did we notice the horrible condition their roof was in, but their insurance company did also. Their roof was covered in moss build up and organic growth. After an introduction of ourselves and an explanation of what we could offer, we were able to schedule their roof cleaning and restore the look of not only their roof, but their entire home.

To start this process, we heavily watered all vegetation surrounding the house to protect it from the cleaning solution(s). The areas of the roof where heavy moss build up was, we physically removed by hand and light brushing. You never want to use too much pressure or hard brushing that could cause damage or lessen the lifespan of the shingle. The next step was to apply the cleaning solution to the shingles to begin the cleaning process. After some dwell time, we were able to see which areas needed to be retreated with the solution. Simultaneously, we began retreating those areas while watering the surrounding vegetation to prevent the cleaning solution from harming them. Although this roof was completely covered in some pretty serious stains, with the proper cleaning solutions, dwell time, and techniques, we were able to achieve great results that left not only the homeowners happy, but their insurance company as well.
